Job Description

The Associate Manager, Robotics Pre-Operative Planning will manage pre-operative planning strategy, function, and provide excellent customer support and user experience to all product end users.   Additionally, the Associate Manager, Robotics Pre-Operative Planning will assist in the development of service opportunities to increase productivity, profitability, and overall customer satisfaction of the service organization.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and lead a team of Pre-Operative Surgical Planning specialists responsible for providing CT segmentation and pre-operative planning services
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that current and future products meet all service, quality and performance requirements
  • Assist in the development of service opportunities and strategy to increase productivity, profitability, and overall customer satisfaction of the service organization
  • Assist in the resolution of customer satisfaction matters by providing solutions to complex product issues
  • Work directly with engineering and QA/RA departments to resolve open complaint investigations
  • Development and implementation of a best practices integration process that allows for continuous improvements
  • Represent the end user throughout the new product development process and provide input to Product Management
  • Development and maintenance of patient data transfer solutions for domestic and international segmentation support

Qualifications and Work Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or other related discipline is strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree is required.  An MBA is preferred, but not required.  A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent leadership experience in lieu of manufacturing and a minimum of 2 years of prior direct people management or equivalent supervisory experience is required, preferably within a factory- focused environment or 1+ years in a lead role.

Ideal candidates should also possess the following skills/experiences:

  • Demonstrated ability to drive team productivity, while maintaining high levels of quality, employee engagement and morale
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and coach individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying communication and technical skills.  Must be able to adapt to and coach others in an ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with problem-solving and process improvement orientation
  • Prefer knowledge of Lean tools (i.e., Six Sigma, Visual Management, Value Stream Management)
  • Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), presentation, partnership and influence skills
  • Must be challenged by a team-based environment which places a high degree of emphasis on accountability for customer service levels, inventory management, cost reduction and quality/GMP compliance
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Software (including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
