What You Will Do:

The Associate Manager, Purchasing and Planning will support and lead key strategic initiatives and projects for Stryker's European Buying Centre with a focus on processes and systems focused around Materials and Supply Planning. This role requires collaboration with multiple functions including but not limited to, Materials, Quality, IS and Sourcing.You will be responsible for sustainment and improvement of business processes; working cross-functionally and preparing the business for mergers/acquisitions and business integration activity. They will also act as the main point of contact in Materials for new product introductions and integrations.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support integration activity, partnering with management as a subject matter expert on systems, processes, and general materials and sourcing practices.
  • Create and/or facilitate creation of business processes to support new product introductions (NPI), product life cycle management (PLCM) and program development. Support NPI and PLCM systems, processes, and program development.
  • Manage monthly Supply Planning business review process.
  • Partner with management and technical teams to drive data integrity, solve data integrity issues and implement systemic, strategic solutions.
  • Lead prioritization of business and information needs to support the sustainment of the business and overall organizational efficiency.
  • Liaison between the internal business and external corporate teams to acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems, ensuring clear communication between business stakeholders and IS technical teams exists.
  • Train, mentor and provide support for Buyer/Planners.


What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
  • APICS CSCP (Supply Chain) or CPIM (Production and Inventory) certifications are desirable.
  • 3-4 years of experience, with at least 2+ years in Operations, Global Sourcing or Procurement.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent PC Literacy (Excel, SharePoint, ERP Systems).
  • Experience in Stryker PLCM, process improvements, supply chain planning, product launches and portfolio optimization is desired.
  • Strong Business & Financial Acumen.
  • Excellent Communication and Influencing skills.
  • Proven Project Management capability with demonstrated results.
  • Stakeholder Management.
