What You Will Do

The Associate Manager, Medical Education (Fellows) is responsible for driving the execution of the Stryker Sports Medicine Teaching Institutions Programs that utilizes traditional and innovative marketing/training approaches, including data analytic tools and methodologies to drive initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.  This individual will drive market strategies by building and executing on Teaching Institutions Program initiatives focused on Sports Medicine products in key regional markets. The individual will cultivate relationships, manage engagements and form partnerships with Fellowship/Resident Directors, Key Opinion Leaders, and our Sales Force to gain access to Fellowship/Resident Programs.  This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Education team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.  This individual will also be responsible for tracking all the Teaching Institutions Program initiatives to ensure effectiveness by using effective metrics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, development and execution of all Fellow activities associated with Stryker’s value based educational offerings
  • Using data analysis, lead the educational initiatives and execute a plan to follow Fellows throughout their career.
  • Create a Fellow’s hand-off program designed to connect the Fellow to their future location ultimately partnering with them throughout their career.
  • Develop a strategy for Fellows currently aligned to Stryker’s education programs including but not limited to Stryker’s national courses, third party programs, and/or regional courses.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to execute Medical Education events
  • Create and implement Medical Education strategies and tactics that support business objectives.
  • Partner with the field to communicate Stryker’s offerings for Fellows as part of our education offering to the appropriate stakeholders at each institution.
  • Ensure that all Medical Education activities meet regulatory, government and internal compliance requirements
  • Maintain high level of communication with Marketing & Sales Management around program needs, key accounts and field activities
  • Monitors Education & Marketing trends and makes recommendations for enhancing Stryker’s Medical Education offerings
  • Manage operating expenses within budget in coordination with business unit finance managers
  • Assist with other Medical Education events such as Society Tradeshows, National/Focus Courses, etc.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Sciences/Kinesiology, Business and/or Marketing preferred)
  • 6 years of experience required (Marketing, Clinical and/or Sales of Medical Devices preferred)
  • 2+ years of Sports Medicine specific experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills; both written and oral
  • Strong data analytic skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional and team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own workload with little supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to be a brand ambassador for Stryker Sports Medicine
  • Strong comfort level in a clinical setting (operating rooms, hospitals, etc.)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to consistently produce accurate, professional work
  • Self-starter with the ability to show significant initiative in problem resolution
  • High energy level with strong people skills and a positive attitude
  • Good rapport with internal stakeholders and external sales force
  • Ability to thrive in a high intensity environment
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds of force
