Job Description

Marketing communications

  • Manage & develop tracking tools enabling the MedEd to accurately follow up and execute on leads generated at marketing events
  • Applies various communication strategies to create an impression, raise awareness, and encourage a preference and response by the target audience for the organization and its products, services and brands
  • Design and build marketing communications tools, included but not limited to: literature, collateral, advertising, websites/ digital, e-mails, social media, video, presentations, mobile applications and publicity with input from product line brand leads
  • Works with IT to add new products, update marketing information and keep templates/forms current
  • Collaborating with Event Management Team and Medical Education Managers in country creating market specific messaging for trade shows as well as customer facing event on all relevant digital media platforms
  • Collect, combine and collate team information and harmonise team communication
  • Establish public relations of MedEd team to raise aware of regional marketing and medical education events
  • Design and build collaterals and social media assets using a variety of graphics, animation, and design software applications, techniques, and tools
  • Manage and maintain all project files/images on various marketing collateral and applications for current up to date product and brand representation
  • Design and produce regional MedEd newsletters, emails, online banner ads, and other supporting web graphics, host regional Skype and conference meeting
  • Digital support for events, trade shows or other environmental design applications
  • Partner with the US and Corporate Communication and Marketing teams to ensure alignment of marketing content creation
  • Responsible for collecting and distribution of leads generated from trade shows
  • Ensure all internal and external communications are developed in line with brand guidelines and that a consistent customer experience is delivered across the relevant global business
  • Establish and maintain clinical library and article database for Asia Pacific

Medical education

  • Manage and develop Clinical Education and Training for Stryker Asia Pacific (Faculty engagement, course agenda, operation room setting, cadaver procurement, instrumentation configuration, warehouse management, logistic planning)
  • Support, organise and execute regional Stryker surgeon champions meetings; review participants to ensure individual profiles fullfill course/event requirements
  • Establish surgeon faculty expertise boards for each of Stryker’s key divisions to ensure the clinical aspects of education and training are being delivered
  • Conduct comprehensive academic/ market/ product analysis to ensure events and symposiums align with countries/ divisions’ needs
  • Monitor production timelines and budgets, as well as the coordination of internal and external resources, to ensure that programmes are delivered on time and within budget
  • Manage satellite education centres, recommend the development of training programmes to meet business objectives and customers’ requirements
  • Conduct annual review and surveys and make recommendations to ensure relevant and best-in-class programmes are being delivered
  • Optimise internal process
  • Work with relevant government and professional bodies to ensure the accreditation of courses with countries, subspecialty bodies and medical authorities


  • Degree in Business/ Marketing/ Science/ Arts/ Design
  • 4+ years’ experience in communications and branding

Knowledge and requirements

  • Knowledge of media (traditional and digital), marketing/ corporate communications, branding at regional level
  • Knowledge of online platforms (e.g. Marketo, Salesforce, SurveyMonkey, learning management system, etc)
  • Knowledge of word processing and graphics layout programs (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) highly preferred
  • Experience in working with medical professionals, physician authors, and medical editors to create, manage and maintain medical education collaterals
  • Experience in working in diverse, multi-national environment in Asia Pacific
  • Strong word processing and spreadsheet skills are essential, as are experience in project management.
  • Experience in marketing, technical marketing, sales, technical sales/sales engineering, or R&D within medical, pharmaceutical, or other relevant industry preferred.
