Responsibilities

The Associate Manager, Demand Planning will lead a team of demand planners and facilitate necessary communication with business leaders, marketing managers, supply sites, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) managers to create, reconcile and synchronize the demand forecast. The Associate Manager will also lead IBP and Executive Demand Review (EDR) processes to ensure the company business strategy is applied to demand planning, provide direct supervision of demand planning staff to ensure the team’s productivity/quality goals and metrics are met, and provide reports to the Manager, Demand Planning detailing service level and inventory health metrics.

Job Requirements


A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of demand planning or supply chain management experience is required. 2-3 years of people management experience is highly preferred.

Ideal candidates will also possess the following skills/experiences:
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain management and logistics in a complex distribution environment, S&OP/IBP experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated team leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to recruit, train, and coach individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying communication and technical skills in an ever-changing fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, partnership and influence skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive team productivity, while maintaining high levels of employee engagement and morale
  • Strong history of performance to metrics
  • Demonstrated ability for sound decision making while working under pressure in critical situations
  • Demonstrated work experience in a team-based environment which places a high degree of emphasis on accountability for forecast accuracy, customer service levels, innovation, inventory management, cost reduction and quality compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and take actions to fix issues; create and track KPIs
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in MS Software (including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (Oracle, or equivalent) and Demand Planning statistical modeling tools (Demantra)
