Job Description

This role provides support and expertise to the business by managing day to day Compensation & Benefit activities relating to all aspects of remuneration in a timely, accurate and value add manner. Collaborates with HR Business Partners, the International & US Compensation Team and relevant Stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive reward processes and systems in line with the company’s reward philosophy, strategy and policy.

Your key responsibilities:

  • With the Director Compensation & Benefits, manages the annual Compensation & Benefits cycle (benchmarking, planning, salary review, bonus, stock options, RSU’s and incentive pay planning, etc.)
  • Analyses market compensation practices and effectively uses the data as an input to implement pay structures and reward best practices.
  • Produces and interprets high quality reward analytics and effectively uses the data to explain and influence key stakeholders in decision making.
  • Provides compensation leadership for the integration of newly acquired business into the Ireland & UK region.
  • Provides process support for Pension, Share Purchase, Company Car, Healthcare Plan and other benefits.
  • Implements new tools, systems and process across Ireland & UK from a compensation perspective.
  • Participates in HR projects where compensation analyses and process issues are involved.
  • Ensures all positions are fairly graded following global grading guidelines.
  • Advises and supports the implementation of career paths.
  • Connects with the International Mobility Team to support international mobility activities.
  • Develops compensation and benefit training materials and trains/educates HR Business Partners who in turn train the business they support.
  • Partners with external providers to ensure excellent delivery of a cost effective and value add service, processes and systems.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of compensation programs and ensuring excellence in their delivery.
  • Collaborates with Compensation & Benefits colleagues across the Stryker network to share best practice and implement initiatives together.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Level 8 Degree or Masters Qualification in a HR, Finance, Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6-7 years previous experience in a compensation or financial role.
  • Good knowledge of compensation and benefits basic principles and practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of contemporary human resources trends and the ability to benchmark/network.
  • Highly Numerical
