Job Description

With some supervision prepares layouts, drawings and designs for fixtures and equipment according to engineering specifications.  Through the use of appropriate design software,   translates design inputs into features and outputs ensuring design for manufacturing and compliance to regulatory and quality systems are achieved.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering Graphics or related engineering/manufacturing curriculum, or Machine Shop or Manufacturing technical certification with 5 or more years of experience, or 8 or more years equivalent industry experience
  • CAD/CAM software experience
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • The ability to work with small objects and/or component parts.
  • Basic blueprint/schematic reading skills.
  • Basic computer skills.                    
  • Ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), small power tools and common test/inspection equipment.
  • Intermediate math and writing skills.
  • Electrical/mechanical problem solving skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
