We are looking for an engaged and thoughtful Quality Engineer for our Advanced Quality team based in Kalamazoo, MI. We need a problem solver who can build strong relationships with internal and external partners ensuring that project work results in the quality for which Stryker is known.


What you will do:

  • You will execute quality assurance engineering work and provide input towards quality throughout the New Product Development for design quality and process quality.
  • You will use sound technical competence to collaborate towards the delivery of robust designs, products, and processes.
  • You will collaborate and lead equipment qualification and process validation programs within New Product Development.
  • You will collaborate with manufacturing for process development and design for manufacturability.
  • You will be expected to lead risk analysis discussions and develop mitigation strategies.
  • You will guide New Product Development teams through the internal quality system ensuring products are developed in compliance to requirements of the FDA, ISO, and other regulatory bodies.
  • You will collaborate with Advanced Operations on process development starting with PFMEA, user requirements for the assembly line, creation of the master validation plan, and other process development work.
  • You will execute and complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for supplied components.

What you need:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or related
  • 1-3 years of experience in related field
  • Experience in quality process development
  • Previous experience in process validation (PFMEA/DFM), process development, risk management for design decisions, PPAP, GD&T, testing and test method planning for validations highly preferred.
