Job Description

This individual will be a functional resource for the Legal & Compliance team, creating efficiencies and helping to optimize team functioning.   

  • Managing calendars and processing correspondence (letters, reports), distribution of mail and answering phones
  • Keeping meeting minutes for weekly team meetings, coordinating timely compliance with action items and recording progress toward team goals
  • Updating and maintaining team sharepoint sites
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for the attorney staff located at the Romence Rd. facility, including: work visas though CBT, foreign embassies, at acountry border where relevant; ground - transfers, rental cars; air - international and domestic; accommodation; supporting the team with emergency travel arrangements and travel agency inquiries
  • Managing calendars and distribution of communications to the GQO legal, SGCT, and divisional legal teams located at the Romence Rd. facility
  • Coordinating with other support staff including the administrative assistant to the RegS staff and the Administrative Assistants to Sr. Divisional Counsel
  • Schedule developmental activities including mid-year and annual reviews for staff reporting to Sr. GQO Counsel and SGCT counsel
  • Coordinating communications and scheduling meetings with external advisors
  • Ensuring that presentations and reports authored by the legal and compliance teams comply with Stryker's brand requirements
  • Preparation of materials for the RegS and legal department leadership team
  • Coordinating purchase of office materials
  • Seeking alternate vendor quotes to achieve low prices for office materials and related resources
  • Preparing budgets and cost reports for team meetings
  • Scheduling regular meetings and coordinating calendars with other administrative support staff, book venues and refreshments, assisting with distribution of meeting agendas
  • Aligning calendars to schedule meetings for the Romence legal and compliance teams
  • Coordinating payment of bar dues 
  • Preparation (printing, collating and shipping) of training materials and coordination of facility, attendees and presenter information
  • Performing related work as assigned by senior Romence legal staff
  • Broad understanding and use of office technology and tools, including Microsoft office tools – Excel, Office 365, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, along with SharePoint, Skype, and Webex
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years professional experience required.
  • Possesses and practically applies knowledge, skills and abilities across scope of responsibilities
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor
  • Work of low to moderate complexity is completed in a timely and thorough manner and under instruction of management
  • Basic understanding of budgets and expense management
