Description and Opportunity
As an HR intern at Stryker, you will work on special projects in the following areas:
HR Generalist/Talent Management/Learning & Development
Responsibilities could include –
Collaborating on the development and implementation of programs and solutions to improve performance and processes such as:
  • Creating a strategy for job description management and enhancing new hire orientation.
  • Conduct full audit and updates for all global supply neurovascular job descriptions as the business consolidate teams and locations, ensuring audit compliance.
  • Assist with massive new hire onboarding process, refine and streamline process for the new SLC site.
  • Design and develop a web based manager toolkit for online manager and team resources.
  • Help assist with site closure / transfer integration activities.
  • Create process and deliver a weekly HR news update for employees and update Connect page for global supply neurovascular sites.
  • Lead out in employee engagement and culture building activities.
  • Provide manager coaching and follow-up support for the annual Q12 engagement survey,
  • Assist in clean -up of SLMS and work with managers on their updated training plans upon site transfer/closure.
  • Assist in any west region HR projects for sites in California, Washington, Utah and Texas related to the Workday rollout for managers.
Other skill building areas:
•Working with hiring managers and our recruiting COE to identify candidates, interview and ultimately select diverse talent to the Stryker team.
•University Relations – Assisting with designing the 2018-19 fall and spring campus strategies, coordinating summer intern program events, and create an intern blog.

What You Need
• Currently working on completion of Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer. Preference to graduating Seniors in Dec. 2018 or April 2019. Prior work experience or internships in HR a plus.
• Cumulative 3.3 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring.
• Must be permanent resident of the U.S. or U.S. citizen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
