仕事内容

Basic Function

Responsible for working in partnership with appropriate people to create and continually improve standardized work within a cell and to effectively communicate changes to all affected people and departments in a timely manner.

• Ensures all team members are consistently applying 6S principles and following safety requirements and best practices.

• Daily safety unit walk through to identify safety issues and near misses

• Regularly update team members, supervisors and support staff on safety, NPD and CI activities

• Focus in helping the unit reduce scrap by evaluating and addressing assembly and process errors.

• Drives communication and alleviating all quality, safety, SOE revisions, layered audit issues or concerns. With direction of their supervisor, Team Leader can resolve the concern.

• Perform layered audits weekly to support supervisors as needed and applicable.

• Trains other trainers in the unit in accordance with standardized work instructions

• Ensures cell members are properly trained and certified on cell stations and acts as a point of contact for allocating OJT training between trainees and certified/trained team members in partnership with Manufacturing supervisors.

• Team Leader should own production metrics for the day/month and help team leadership drive those metrics for their assigned cell.

• Ensures cell is using material replenishment systems properly and reports any issues or concerns.

• Point of contact for production team to address for computer/equipment/fixture issues within their cell. Team Leader will identify best point of contact to resolve issue.

• Partner with manufacturing engineers on time studies

• Participates in and encourages participation in continuous improvement events, daily production meetings and assists in any additional cell/team/organizational projects as required

• Team Leader should act as liaison between the production floor, manufacturing supervisors, process technicians and manufacturing engineers.

• Participate in production build on average 2-4 days a week.

• Engagement facilitator and champion for team ensuring a culture of team engagement for a self-driven and cohesive team

• Team Leader is an acting role model demonstrating Stryker core values.

• Influence and leadership of direct team and manufacturing support teams to drive manufacturing KPI’s

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of team information

  • Ability to develop other associates and team leaders to build future leadership.

    Physical Requirements

    Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line

    • Job demands include prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing and/or crawling as appropriate.

    • May be required to reach, push or pull in order to accomplish job.

    • Requires hand grasp ability.

    • Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

    • May be exposed to loud noises.

    • Requires the operation of machinery as appropriate for performance of job.

    • Requires use of safety glasses and other designated PPE, including hearing protection and steel-toed shoes in specific areas.

    Mental Requirements

    • The ability to work with an array of different tools and component parts.

    • Must be able to observe and note minute inconsistencies.

    • Must be able to follow and explain detailed instructions and inspection procedures.

    • Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.

    • Must be able to communicate product or component part deficiencies to supervisor or Engineering personnel.

    • Must be able to clearly read, write, and communicate fluently in English to comprehend and communicate work instructions

    • Must be able to meet visual, auditory, reading ability, independent decision making and retention of specific knowledge to disseminate useful information from data and utilize meaningfully

    Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred

    • One year proven performance at Stryker. Management discretion when considering Kelly experience.

    • Must thrive in a team environment and build strong relationships.

    • Must have exceptional interpersonal communication skills specifically relating to stress management, people management, and conflict management and knowing when to escalate to Manufacturing Supervisors.

    • Must have a passion for continuous improvement and demonstrate problem solving skills.

    • Must have a passion for quality and procedural compliance.

    • Must have excellent time management skills with the ability to use judgment effectively.

    Education/Special Training Required

    • High school diploma or GED.
