We are currently seeking a Staff Systems Test Engineer located near Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

What You Will Do

  • You will lead Verification and Validation testing for the System, Sub-System and Module requirements.
  • You will Lead complex projects through the product Life cycle.
  • You will develop Verification Protocols, Verification Reports and Engineering Studies across multidisciplinary systems.
  • You will develop Test project schedules and V&V Test Matrix.
  • You will review project specification to understand the system performance requirements.
  • You will setup and debug complex test systems.
  • You will develop Test Fixtures using SolidWorks, Matlab, LabView.
  • You will perform statistical analysis utilizing Minitab or other software.
  • You will provide Verification test updates on projects to Department and Program Managers.
  • You will participates in R&D departmental policies and procedure updates.
  • You will qualify measurement systems for accuracy, precision and stability by performing MSA.
  • You will spend time in cadaver labs to develop understanding of the surgical workflow.
  • You will extract and process data/findings into formal written and verbal reports which comply with FDA requirements.

What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience related to this job description required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical, software, bio-medical or related is required.
  • Familiarity with Regulatory standards such as IEC 60601-3rd Edition.
  • Thorough understanding of all test fundamentals, test management tools, and defect tracking tools.
  • Scripting knowledge of Matlab, Tcl/Tk, Python, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in sustaining engineering for an existing product preferred.
  • Experience in tool release preferred.
  • Hands on experience with Machine shop tools: Lathe, Milling machine, CNC, etc.
  • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in statistical data analysis and reports.
