Becoming a Sales Representative at Stryker in our Head and Neck team will give you just that.  

In this position, you will play a significant role in a highly successful sales team. You will be responsible for the sales in a territory where you will be working alongside industry opinion leaders and in centre of excellence and major level one trauma centres for Neurosurgical, and Maxillofacial surgery.  This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of this exciting growth area within our Neurotechnology and Maxillofacial division, where you will have the opportunity to achieve rapid growth and be rewarded with our strong compensation plans for your hard work and over-achievements

What we are looking for

What you will be doing

As a Stryker Sales Representative you will be responsible for maintaining existing business, as well as identifying and developing new sales opportunities. You will need to interact and develop strong relationships with a diverse group of Stakeholders in the NHS or private medical sector; these include surgeons, theatre managers, nursing staff as well as procurement and finance professionals. You will be required to conduct product demonstrations and training for clinical staff, as well as covering cases in operating theatres within your key accounts. You will be responsible for reporting on your sales activities on a regular basis.

With a market leading portfolio in Maxilliofacial and Neurotechnology you will be liaising with key stakeholders to grow your business. You will be responsible for working in new and existing accounts to carryout and close trials with key brands as a key growth approach to your territory. A strong emphasis will be focused on patient specific treatment. Here you will be working alongside your consultants from planning to procedure

The Territory Sales Manager will be required to live within the defined territory, this is a field-based sales role, therefore involves travel.
 

Your skills and experience

  • Training in a medical, scientific, technical career or degree in sciences/economics
  • Successful sales and/or marketing experience
  • Capital selling experience is desirable
  • Self-motivated and achievement driven
  • Highly confident and competitive
  • Strong communicator who is excellent in developing relationships
  • Analytical
  • Organised
  • Team player
  • Integrity
  • Commercial acumen 
  • Successful verifiable sales experience in NHS or other industries is essential.
  • Commercial acumen and an appreciation of budgetary and cost issues surrounding theatres and surgical procedures.
  • Healthcare Economic knowledge.
  • An ability to treat a territory as a franchise.
  • Workshop/demonstration training skills.
  • Good working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Orthopaedic product knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Excellent presentation skills including use of modern presentation media.
  • Computer skills, MS Office.

The individual should demonstrate a track record of success. Working knowledge of the NHS, selling in a theatre environment or experience in Medical Devices for Head and Neck would be an advantage
