The Job's Mission
The Sales and Marketing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing teams to implement the sales and marketing strategy for the Surgical product portfolio in order to optimize customer satisfaction and drive market share, as well as to support daily administrative activities.
The role is demanding and you will operate in a fast pace environment to meet the needs of our customers. As such hours will be varied and flexible according to demands and you will spend up to 30% travelling to marketing events and to our customers to help us meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities • Assist with executing local sales and marketing strategies. • Sales enablement: product technical or competitive questions. • Medical education and other customer engagement event support and execution. • Calendar and communication management within the Division • Coordinate business trips and related Leadership activities • Project coordination for the various activities agreed with Leadership
Key Activities & Accountabilities • Provides rapid support by answering and/or resolving customer questions and/or problems • Supports key product evaluations, presentations or installations as directed by local manager • Localizes marketing support material or creates market-specific assets • Supports in-person customer experience of our products through coverage of exhibits, trade shows and educational labs • May provide input in the new product development process and collect Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback on new product concepts • Facilitates marketing or sales training • Works with sales representatives and marketing teams to identify improvements to existing products • Develops and executes strategies for communicating product-related updates to sales representatives • Maintains and expands the Vault knowledge management system through periodic updates, best practice sharing, and uploading of relevant content • Works closely with customer service and distribution teams to understand production capacity, build schedules, and stocking schedules for assigned products • Coordinates with operations and sales representatives to effectively allocate products to customers in times of short supply. • Works with customer care team to understand complaint handling, quality, and service processes, and will communicate these processes to sales representatives as needed • Submits periodic or monthly reports on assigned topics • Coordinates the logistics and fully supports all divisional meetings (meeting rooms booking, technical service, hotel bookings, general logistics, etc…) • Take and share minutes for meetings, ensure followup where needed, monitor and support meeting of Divisional deadlines as needed. Book travel and hotels for Leadership as per company’s guidelines and manage expense submissions accordingly • Work with Legal and Compliance department to prepare all the documentation to be periodically sent out to agents and distributors
Education and Experience • University degree (any) – Marketing, Life sciences, Pharmaceutical, Business or Engineering degree desirable. • Desire to have a career in marketing/sales and future leader in the business. • Able to demonstrate your drive and desire to succeed. • Previous sales or marketing experience highly desirable.
