Quality Technician (Day Shift) in London at Stryker Corporation

  • Duties include but not limited to:
    • Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge using a variety of measuring tools 
    • Must have intermediate to advanced GD&T and blue print experience
    • CMM experience using Polyworks and CALYPSO. 
    • Use various inspection, measuring, and test equipment to measure production parts while investigating suspected non-conforming material
    • Solid knowledge of gauge calibration would be considered and asset.
    • Strong computer skills including Excel and MS Word
    • Investigate quality problems found in the process and react appropriately in a timely manner.  When containment actions are required, ensure that they are implemented immediately. 
    • Lead and participate in problem solving activities to identify root causes of problems and help implement corrective actions that will prevent them from reoccurring.
    • Measure, test, and verify PPAP samples in a timely manner.  Generate Warrants, Dimensional and Performance Test reports, and other required PPAP documentation for Internal PPAP’s.
    • Track and help clear bottle necks that may occur in the PPAP process.
    • Collecting and reporting on metrics data as requested
    • Assist in maintaining control of the Quarantine Area
    • Analyze, disposition, report on internal non-conforming product/returned goods in a timely manner as outlined in work instructions.
    • Initiate and follow up on Supplier, Returned Material Analysis Reports (RMAR’s), and Corrective Action Reports (SCAR’s) for timely closure.
    • Maintain quality records accurately and on-time
    • Provide facility with CI (Continuous Improvement) by way of programs such as Sentinel, Kaizen and 6S
    • Maintain and report on applicable project timelines
    • Assist with work on NC’s and CAPA’s
    • Identify gaps in assembly drawings, work instructions and training
    • Supports the Stryker Quality policy
    • Supports the Stryker Environment, Health & Safety policy
    • All other duties as assigned

      Education and Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent required
    • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in related field or 3–5 years related work experience required
    • ASQ Certification an asset
