What You Will Do

The R&D Program Management team oversees the execution of new product development projects within our hip, knee and robotics platforms. We are responsible for gathering requirements for new product development projects, assembling cross functional teams, drafting execution plans and timelines and overseeing the work required to launch products to market. Program Managers are expected to help identify and mitigate risks and provide status updates to various levels of leadership.

  • Communicate frequently across all project disciplines to ensure both team and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to resolve issues and risks, maintain engagement/focus, and share updates with all team members.
  • Maintain timelines with regular updates to re-project milestones, monitor critical path, and calculate launch dates while maintaining baseline data.
  • Partner with project team leads to maintain engagement and focus on project commitments and dependencies.
  • Maintain metrics to track historical performance of new product development programs.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Formal program/project management training and PMP Certification, preferred
  • 5+ years practical program leadership/project management experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including MS Project
