IS Sr. Technical Service Delivery Lead, Commercial 

Job Description 

  • The Sr. Technical Service Delivery Lead is responsible for supporting service delivery across the Commercial Tower. Additionally, this role will support the delivery of the build portfolio and transition from Build to Run. The Sr. Technical Solution Lead needs to be able to understand the overall design and architecture of a platform and help support the end to end technical solution. The ability work cross-functionally and lead with relationships, as well as the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and often with audiences of all levels will be critical for success.  

Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description) 

  • Organize and maintain release calendar for all major programs and projects affecting the commercial operations tower; solicit information from appropriate build owners and stay involved in demand management processes for awareness 

  • Perform activities following Stryker’s Software Service Delivery framework and processes. 

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead technical deployments; including training of contract staff, documentation of release plans, verification of change control process adherence, and scheduling. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance and technical efficiencies; including automation, shift-left opportunities, and other cost saving opportunities. 

  • Learn about end-to-end architecture of commercial systems and their critical endpoints 

  • Assist commercial SDLs and application leads in pulling in appropriate cross-functional teams to assist in troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) 

  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives across multiple applications and technical stacks on a consistent basis to support changing priorities.  

  • Work in parallel with the build teams across IS to support the Software Development Lifecycle and deployments 

  • Develop and a robust network and partner with all relevant groups: Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Governance, Global Application Development, Business Partners, etc… 

  • Drive creation of both system and technical documentation where missing or appropriate. 

  • Partner with Business Analysts in understanding system requirements and translating into solutions within an application and/or application stack 

  • Understanding of the budget and how decisions around and impacting our applications and systems impact the overall financials  

  • Special projects/assignments as required. 

Education & special trainings: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited university, preferably in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical field of study. 

Qualifications & experience: 

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required 

  • Experience in leading teams of resources for projects, minimum 3 years 

  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of global system rollouts – strategy, planning, vendor selection and implementation planning. 

  • Knowledge of and the ability to drive IS methodologies such as ITIL, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Development is preferred 

  • Ability to analyze business situations to understand business impact of both the issue as well as potential solutions 

  • Excellent organizational/communication skills and attention to detail 

  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills - a qualified candidate will demonstrate ability to organize information and challenge their own assumptions, and will help others to do the same 

  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively across a cross functional and matrixed organization 

  • Strong knowledge of Excel Advanced, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Access DB, MS Project Suite (MPP/Visio/etc.). 

  • Ability to drive initiatives and projects independently from start to finish.

  • Execution & Service Delivery Focus. Ability to understand, interpret and translate emerging trends, future visions and strategies into executable programs and projects that align to the current state architecture and business environment.  

  • Demonstrate ability to work in and deal with ambiguous situations 

  • Strong collaboration skills are required. The successful candidate must have the ability to persuade and build consensus cross-functionally to ensure solution designs and requirements are aligned.  There will be situations where influence is required without direct authority. 

  • Excellent communication skills. Communication across the enterprise will be important as this team member will often be tasked with working on cross-functional teams as he/she executes large- scale programs and projects. The successful candidate must effectively communicate cross-functionally and at a variety of levels within the organization. 

  • Organization & Strategic Agility. The successful candidate must have a high degree of situational awareness and ability to navigate complex issues and channels to successfully deliver solutions in partnership with business and IT leadership teams. 

 

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 20%
