The Job’s Mission

The Goods In Operative will be located in our Goods Inwards department which is part of the wider warehouse team to assist in supporting and help maintain the Company’s distribution activities, whilst meeting customer service and quality. They will take hour by hour responsibility for ensuring our orders are dispatched to customers on time every time. The job will be a permanent shift depending on volumes there may sometimes be the requirement to stay and get the job done so the candidate will have to have a sense of responsibility and commitment to going the extra mile. There will be no direct reports but a responsibility to get the job done will be crucial

Key Activities & Accountabilities

  • Receives goods at the door and records the shipments
  • Records any missing or damaged item with appropriate escalation
  • Prepares discrepancy reports for all discrepancies or quality issues notified during inbound inspection
  • Reports any discrepancies to supply chain
  • Books in stock within the department target timelines
  • Processes goods receipts in Expert system
  • Processes customer returns in Expert system
  • Informs sales team of any discrepancies noticed during customer returns process
  • Records and delivers booking in data to various parts of the business
  • Puts away stock to the warehouse locators to make the items available for sale to customers
  • Ensures all stock is processed and put away on time and with 100% accuracy
  • Interacts with drivers delivering/picking shipments at Bucharest warehouse
  • Ensures all relevant paperwork is completed on time and with 100% accuracy
  • Ensures all quality and safety standards are adhered to and championed as necessary
  • Operates in a safe working manner and is responsible for H+S within designated areas, and ensure all prescribed PPE is used correctly
  • Participates to trainings organized in order to increase knowledge and efficiency
  • Becomes an expert in the goods in processes
  • Works in a team of peers to deliver every day solutions to meet customer expectations
  • The candidate can find quick solutions to customers issues in line with all company policies
  • Ensures high level of customer responsiveness
  • Takes responsibility and support the Warehouse Manager in achieving departmental and divisional KPIs and objectives
  • Manages effective communications with the team to deliver operational targets, issues, briefings are effectively delivered
  • Liaison with couriers, other departments and the Sales
  • Participates to periodical warehouse inventory counts
  • Takes responsibility for identifying areas of improving and assisting in the implementation of actions relating to these.
  • Suggest and support projects within the team and cross-functional, to further improve the department, resulting in increasing customer satisfaction, increasing efficiency, lower costs and optimized inventory levels
  • Maintains warehouse equipment in good order, i.e. stores packaging material in the appropriate location, recycles material when possible
  • Offers back-up support for the other warehouse employees when absent for holiday and/or illness
  • Ensures all records are maintained accurately and all procedures are adhered to effectively
  • Some physical lifting is required in this position
  • Cross training (CS, Sales and Marketing)
  • Additional responsibilities and projects may be required to ensure the team meets QDCSM targets

Education

  • High School

Experience

  • PC Literate
  • Basic English Knowledge
