1. Responsible for developing strong relationships throughout area of responsibility to foster an advisory or collaborative approach to proactive compliance.  
2. Responsible for ensuring the development and effective implementation of an annual  compliance plan which includes, but is not limited to: communication, training, auditing and monitoring and risk management.
3. Serves as the leader and provides direction to  Trauma Compliance committee in accordance with Corporate Policy #8: Compliance Program.
4. Responsible for providing leadership, oversight and accountability in the development and implementation of broad-scale compliance program plans, tasks and initiatives to ensure push-down throughout the organization.
5. Participate as compliance representative in the initial due diligence and subsequent integration planning required by business development activities.
6. Maintains high level of knowledge of current and emerging laws and regulations, and periodically reviews and updates standards relating to compliance.  These include, but are not limited to Stryker Corporate Policies and Procedures, industry trends and guidance on country, state/provincial or local laws.
7. Responds to alleged violation of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct through the initiation of appropriate investigation procedures in partnership with Legal and Human Resources.
8. Partner with Professional Affairs, Legal , Finance, Human Resources, Clinical/Quality/Regulatory, the Corporate Compliance Office, external bodies, as well as employees and compliance experts within each Plant/Business Unit, to build a divisional Compliance Program that meets evolving business needs
9. Develop or acquire, promote, and track compliance training and education activities as part of a divisional Compliance Training Plan
10. Conduct, delegate, manage and resolve compliance investigations 
11. Complete annual Compliance Audit using proscribed Assessment tools.
12. Facilitate periodic updates of the divisional Risk Assessment and report Top Three Risks to Corporate Compliance
13. Act as Compliance lead on integration of all divisional acquisitions including but not limited to implementing task plans. 
14. Coordinate with Corporate Transparency Team on production of information roll up for division to be compliant with reporting to regulatory bodies. 
15. Work closely with European Legal and Compliance teams to identify and mitigate compliance related risks arising from the Transatlantic Operating Model.
16. Makes recommendations to Trauma leadership and influences group/departmental strategy with regard to the development or revisions of existing policies, procedures or systems to attain high levels of performance and build competitive advantage.
