Job Description: The Brand Manager is responsible for driving brand strategy in support of Stryker’s vision, together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better. Develop and execute the integrated brand and marketing plan for Performance Solutions. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to develop cohesive messaging, advertising and communications plans. Develop the expertise and knowledge of the Performance Solutions products and services to be the go to person for information, presentations and customer interactions. Work closely with upstream marketing on commercialization strategies for the launch of new products and services.

Responsibilities may also include:

  • Define and execute commercialization strategies for Performance Solutions products and services to achieve divisional revenue goals within allocated budget.
  • Develop brand strategies and value propositions that create consumer engagement and loyalty.
  • Monitor sales and market trends and make recommendations for enhancing penetration and market share.
  • Develop launch strategies to successfully introduce new products to the market, including positioning and messaging, segmentation, pricing, account targeting, promotion, and training and education.
  • Monitor, understand and respond to competitive product performance, messaging, and tactics and work with the Communications Manager to communicate competitive intelligence to the team.  
  • Cultivate key customer relationships, work productively with physicians and the field sales organization to gain market insight, improve clinical practice, implement programs, and drive product preference and market growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional team members to develop materials and educational programs consistent with brand and messaging strategy
  • Participate in key customer visits to represent product portfolio.
  • Support Sales Training for new Client Executives and team members

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or other relevant field of study. Prefer Master’s of Business Administration or a Master's degree in Marketing or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in product/brand marketing or relevant discipline. Experience within medical, pharmaceutical or other relevant industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking. Understanding of conducting market analysis, competitive analysis, consumer behavior research.
  • Demonstrated conceptual/creative thinking skills to deliver breakthrough solutions.
  • Demonstrated communication, presentation and customer service orientation skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and interact with peers, leadership, sales representatives and vendors
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen to effectively assess return on investment.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and e-mail applications
  • Demonstrated ethics and integrity in a competitive and demanding work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and establish (and re-establish) priorities for self and team
