The Associate Manager, Communications will inform, motivate and engage our workforce by developing and executing a global communications strategy that leverages a variety of methods and channels to reach our employees. This professional is accountable for ensuring that messages keep our brand promise, reflect CMF’s strategic priorities and align with what our business needs to accomplish. This requires working collaboratively with CMF’s senior leadership team and across functions and other divisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the vision and objectives of the division and senior leadership team.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to define business strategy and priorities to translate into communications strategy. 
  • Influence and help develop leadership messaging.
  • Support senior leaders / global functions through Company transformation and change initiatives by defining communications strategy and helping to manage communications details and sequencing. 
  • Advise in communications consultation, planning and best practice sharing including: Communications strategy and planning; Translating content across various media and audiences; Developing support for high level messaging and detailed talking points; and Communicating services offered (internal/external), set expectations and manage timelines
  • Maintain strong leadership relationships and regular touch points to stay connected and aligned to global function needs.
  • Lead various communications and projects, which may include content creation and review for internal and external audiences (company-wide messaging, town hall events, media holding statements and major organizational announcements). 
  • Manage outside strategic communications consultants as needed.
  • Ensure communications are in alignment with the company’s strategies, goals, objectives and brand.
  • Ensure review and approvals are in accordance to review/approval processes and procedures in place.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director, Strategic Marketing or Senior Leadership.

Education and Special Trainings:

  • Bachelors degree in English, communications, marketing or related field is preferred

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 6-8 years' work experience in communications, marketing and/or branding area preferred
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and influence 
  • Ability to communicate with and understand business needs and articulate those needs in a strategy and plan
  • Ability to lead communications strategy around major change initiatives
  • Problem solver with creative approach to proactive identification and resolution of issues
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to  analyze and measure success
  • Execution-oriented, self-starter and self-navigator who can prioritize high-value projects versus tasks in a fast-paced environment and balance demands of multiple projects
  • Very responsive, with a customer-centric / solutions-oriented approach and the ability to serve a wide range of needs within the organization and at all levels
  • Experience working in a decentralized environment is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is very strongly preferred
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to tailor communications style to audience
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail a must
  • Basic design capabilities and ability to follow brand guidelines are a must
