The Internship

The Corporate Compliance intern assists the global members of the Corporate Compliance department in a variety of activities, many of which include training, communications, health care professional interactions, indirect sales channels, high risk third party vendors, investigations, risk management, auditing and monitoring. The primary need of the team for the 2021 summer internship is related to assisting the Informatics teams in supporting and implementing enterprise Global Compliance systems. This position provides the intern with a very unique opportunity to work in a truly global function, interacting with and supporting Legal & Compliance representatives from across the world. The experience is also unique in that the Compliance function monitors and has visibility to all aspects of the Stryker business, which can serve as an introduction to a number of areas for the intern.

What You Need

• Currently working on completion of Bachelor’s or Master's degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer; Major or minor in Informatics, Information Management, Data Analytics or a related area are preferred.

• Knowledge of / interested in working on projects involving Change Management & / or Project Management

• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring

• Must be permanent resident of the U.S. or U.S. citizen

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

• Ability to exercise independent judgment

• Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Proven leadership and business acumen skills

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Must be flexible in work assignments with guidance provided by Supervisor to manage shifting priorities

• Comfortable contacting subject matter experts and leaders to discuss their concerns / expectations for software applications used by them & / or their teams
