The Strategic Contract Specialist is responsible for managing the data analytics related to our Mako Robotic sales contracts with focus on four core customer groups: Sales, Marketing, Legal and Finance. From a Sales support perspective, the Strategic Contract Specialist is responsible for aligning with the sales team to support the processes of pricing agreement negotiations, executive summary creation, and data analysis and reporting. The Strategic Contract Specialist will coordinate the efforts of our Sales, Legal, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure compliance and functional objectives are achieved within each agreement that is executed.

Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Contract Development – Partner with National Accounts and Sales Managers to develop contract and rebate programs that are financially beneficial to both Stryker and our customers.  Review sales proposals for products and service opportunities to determine proposal feasibility. Review, develop, edit, and write original proposals and other sales-related documents. Respond to sales inquiries and proposal approval requests in a timely manner.
  • Request for Proposal (RFP) Responses – Assist National Accounts and Sales leadership in drafting major contract proposals.  Ensure timely and complete bid delivery.  Maintain contact with various departments such as sales, legal, finance, distribution, customer service and quality/regulatory departments.
  • Pricing Contract Management – Partner with National Accounts and Sales Managers to ensure that we are fully executing pricing contracts for all customers who receive discounts.
  • Master Terms & Conditions – Build key partnerships and collaborate with Medsurg Divisions and Legal for a master terms and conditions agreement template.
  • Discount Management – Manage discount requests for domestic branches and agencies.
  • Strategic Pricing – Partner with Marketing to manage the setting of list prices and their adjustments from year to year.  Develop customer discount models for our salesforce.
  • Sales Pricing Tools and Processes - Participate in the development, implementation and support of sales pricing strategies, processes, systems, tools, policies, and procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1+ years of experience in contract management, pricing, sales operations, and analytics.  Relevant experience in the medical devices industry is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills in a fast-paced, demanding sales environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Access; Oracle ERP and Cognos skills are a plus.
