Are you a logical, yet creative engineer who relishes new challenges, and can forecast and generate innovative solutions with sound design for R&D projects?

Can you take user inputs to provide a technical estimate for project complexity, feasibility, effort, and cost at the concept stage of product development?

Do you have a proven ability to design analog and digital circuits, for example utilizing LED driver circuitry, CANBus, RS232, and/or 32-bit microcontrollers?



What You Will Do

We are looking for someone to create our latest medical technology product with the following responsibilities, skills, and/or capabilities:

  • You will develop and analyze multiple solutions to user problems potentially prototyping one or more options to provide proof of concept, and troubleshoot issues during prototyping and development.
  • You will drive the integration of modules to form a working product.  You will have a proven ability to combine modules of custom designs, off the shelf components, and reference designs into a functioning product.
  • You will document all designs with the appropriate drawings utilizing internal procedures such as the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process. 
  • You will work with document control to ensure that proper revisions are released to manufacturing and that proper revision control is maintained for electronic design data (schematics, firmware source code, PCB source files, etc.).
  • You will communicate design progress to team members and coworkers, through periodic status updates to supervisor, project teams and/or senior managers.
  • You will identify design problems and work to resolve them.

  • You will mentor more junior engineers to help them improve.

  • You will work with mechanical and software engineers to ensure that all modules will integrate properly.  Including working with virtual team members in different countries.



What You Need

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to write clear technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization. For example designs that include microprocessors, analog circuitry, power circuits, and impedance matched circuits.
  • Ability to work with software packages such as: Orcad Capture, Orcad Layout, Allegro, Xilinx Foundation, Model Sim, and uVision.
