As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for delivering our Division’s flagship software products for use in Operating Rooms around the world.  You will be responsible not just for the development of code, but for the entire effort to deliver a solution to our customers, complete with considerations such as licensing, maintenance, and hardware accessories if necessary.  Your team of roughly 100 people will consist of multiple project teams that each has its own leadership structure.  These project teams are primarily composed of Agile Scrum teams distributed throughout the world.

To succeed in this role, you should have a successful track record of delivering new products to external customers.  You should have strong stakeholder-management skills.  And you should have a clear, demonstrable understanding of business trade-offs as well as a history of being trusted with critical business decisions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Deliver new products to market.
  • Deliver updates to existing products.
  • Integrate multiple project plans.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Manage program-level risks.
  • Develop business processes needed to make the program a success.
  • Manage and inform stakeholders.
  • Ensure a positive return on investment.
  • Lead a cross-functional team and ensure all technical and business requirements are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in related field or equivalent. 
  • 10+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful track record of bringing new products to market.
  • Prior project management experience over software development efforts.
  • Experience with Agile software development.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to bring together multiple functions (R&D, Marketing, Quality, Operations, etc.) as a cohesive team
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Degree or background that allows you to understand engineering problems and trade-offs.
  • Preferred: Experience at a medical device company.
