Stryker is seeking to hire a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support Stryker’s Instruments service department in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be supporting service lines, focusing on lean and continuous improvement processes and creating standards for the service repair floor.

What you will do:

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop, evaluate, implement and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences and processes to manufacture and/or assemble components and/or finished devices.

You will be responsible for adhering to quality and quantity standards and follows directions and blueprints to meet specifications. You must know and apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the Manufacturing Engineering specialization, independently and may act as a subject matter expert to others.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Designs and implements new processes using LEAN manufacturing techniques
  • Identifies and implements safety/ergonomic improvements.
  • Accountable for ensuring assigned processes and process changes are compliant and documented in accordance with Stryker procedures and applicable regulations
  • Evaluates blueprints for the processing of parts in order to ensure manufacturability
  • Partners with global service operations, materials, ASE, product engineering and other groups to solve manufacturing, and process issues to drive customer satisfaction
  • May direct work of other team members
  • May act as a project lead within Service engineering
  • Contributes to leading in product innovation by listening and working with others and contributing new ideas.
  • Committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required. (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Biomedical preferred).
  •  2 years related work experience required. (2-4 years preferred in manufacturing environment).
