This position provides leadership, direction, and resource stewardship and oversees all manufacturing operations to ensure production meets the required deadlines, quality standards and is completed within the operational budget. This person must be a proven leader, powered by a strong vision and clear execution strategy.

  • Leverages the insights gained from multiple internal and external sources and assessments to drive timely and impactful improvements to the manufacturing environment.
  • Stays connected to best-in-class, industry-leading knowledge, practices and trends.
  • Supports training and knowledge management infrastructure.
  • Accountable for the budget. Proactively assesses existing support and investments and ensures investments yield productivity benefits consistent with established objectives. Works closely with leaders and Finance to meet this responsibility.
  • Champions continuous improvement and lean culture across the functions he/she leads and the broader organization.
  • Conducts win/loss analyses to understand key drivers and communicates these concisely and regularly to other levels in the organization.
  • Monitors costs and productivity; constantly evaluates processes to increase reliability, effectiveness, efficiency, and agility.
  • Accurately forecasts trends and commitments.
  • Manages structured change to the operating environment.
  • Fosters a culture and environment that makes their site a destination for top performers.
  • Guides, develops and manages a team; coaches, teaches and motivates others to achieve performance objectives.
  • Provides leadership to the management team; fosters a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.
  • Throughout the production process, oversees the work and the process to ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • In partnership with HR and Finance, is accountable for effective organization design, including spans and layers, rationalizing headcount, and resource deployment.
  • In partnership with HR, establishes and governs each the performance management system. This includes establishing guiding principles for managing performance, establishing and prioritizing critical performance measures for all levels; and ensuring all managers and associates are held accountable for assigned results.
  • Establishes and maintains productive peer-to-peer relationships internally (within and outside the site) and externally.
  • Actively supports the achievement of strategic objectives critical to other functional areas within the division.
