This is an exciting opportunity to lead an initiative critical to the performance of the organization.  Sales Training and Development designs and executes the educational and development strategy for our entire sales channel!

In this position, the individual will also partner with many critical internal business functions and support product commercialization strategy.   Key business partners will include Product Marketing, Research and Development, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, and our Executive team.

Besides tremendous exposure throughout the business, this role offers the opportunity for an individual to be creative, find innovative technical advancements, and to integrate new advanced learning techniques.

Stryker Spine is a global leader of complex spine and minimally invasive solutions focused on achieving three-dimensional Total Body Balance.  Our spine business unit offers one of the most comprehensive and diverse product portfolios, including our leading 3D printed technologies, enabling surgeons to provide their patients with treatment options.  Our products include implants, instruments, and biologic solutions for the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, implement and facilitate a variety of sales and product training programs for the Stryker Spine sales force.  Manage all aspects of the Spine Sales training and development.
  • Design and develop training objectives, program agendas, and plans for sales and product training events; including Spine sales schools and customer programs.
  • Deliver effective facilitation, presentation and coaching skills to Sales teams throughout training courses.
  • Evaluate program quality and partner with the Sales Leadership teams to continuously improve training courses.
  • Participate in key marketing platforms through partnership with the Sales Leadership and Marketing teams.
  • Perform training needs assessments in partnership with the Sales Leadership and Marketing teams.
  • Translate business needs into clinical training programs and strategic business solutions.
  • Model compliance throughout all activities and interactions.

What Stryker is Looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or other relevant field of study
  • 3+ years medical device, pharmaceutical or other bio-mechanical sales experience; prefer Stryker products sales experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design, adult learning, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant products and disease states, including expertise in human anatomy and bio-mechanics
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and influence others
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and action orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 30%
