Job Description: The Product Manager is responsible for the overall vision and health of their assigned product portfolio, including revenue and profitability targets, as well as selling strategies and collaboration on product life cycle management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads the downstream product marketing strategy by implementing and executing a two year strategic business plan for assigned products to achieve divisional goals.
  • Drives cross-functional launch teams to successfully introduce new products into the market by developing commercialization plans that include positioning and messaging, segmentation, pricing, account targeting, promotion, and field and customer education
  • Creates and may direct the efforts of others to develop marketing collateral in conjunction with Marketing Communications
  • Develops cross-divisional and cross-portfolio product strategies and value propositions that create customer engagement, loyalty and brand equity
  • Drives strategic direction amongst business leaders about opportunities to grow brands and financial results
  • Interprets and acts upon sales & marketing trends to drive decisions to enhance market penetration
  • Operates proactively & flexibly to anticipate and respond to competitive market forces
  • Cultivates and owns key customer relationships, working productively with key stakeholders and the field sales organization to gain market insight, improve clinical practice, implement programs and drive product preference and market growth
  • Works strategically with sales force and analytics teams to create demand and provide protection for assigned product responsibilities
  • Partners with upstream marketing to propose and evaluate additional products and new market opportunities
  • Collaborates with finance / contracts to innovate deal structures that more fully leverage the division and/or corporate portfolio
  • Partners with Marketing Communications team to develop convention strategy and effectively leverage conferences within an integrated business plan created at the start of the year
  • Provides significant input into the Annual Marketing Plan and two year strategic outlook for assigned product lines and the division
  • Participates in key customer visits to support product portfolio
  • Adhere, without exception, to Corporate compliance and ethics policies
  • Plan and participate in sales training for sales and/or marketing employees
  • May have responsibility for coaching and developing marketing personnel
  • May have responsibility for providing work direction to other associates

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Emphasis in marketing or business preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience required, product/brand marketing, sales, or R&D preferred
  • Medical, pharmaceutical, or other relevant industry experience preferred, medical device experience preferred
  • Commercial experience in related medical device area preferred
  • Understanding of how to coordinate and lead market research efforts
  • Strong financial acumen related to conducting ROI, NPV, TCO and other analyses
  • Ability to effectively lead and drive engagement amongst a small-mid size team of direct or non-direct reports
  • Ability to lead in a cross-functional capacity on multiple projects of significance
  • High-impact interpersonal skills and the ability to drive direction at all stakeholder levels
  • Unwavering ethics & integrity in a competitive and demanding work environment
  • Must be able to set direction and priorities, as well as consistently add value for department and divisional resources
  • Ability to influence change and strategic direction to complete complex assignments; may cross fields
