Secure day to day:

  • The daily operation of the warehouse operations in order to ensure required service levels
  • Ensure staff is timely and appropriately trained on all aspects applicable to run a compliant and safe operation
  • Enable an operation which is capable to quickly adapt to major changes requested by our external and internal customers and / or changes in product mix
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding health & safety, regulatory and hazardous materials, as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Employee engagement, staffing, development and performance reviews

Strengthening the base:

  • Staff development & coaching: create an environment in which the staff can excel and drive the upgrading of the talent base within the team;
  • Closely work together with other departments / divisions to pursue an overall cost effective and efficient integrated supply chain;
  • Supporting the LEAD, Engage, LEAN journey;
  • Recommend, design and layout the warehouse area and equipment together with the Operations Manager when required to support business growth, new products & services and mergers & acquisitions;
  • Resource management (employees, equipment) together with peers;

New Business Needs/ Opportunities:

  • Implement and continuously improve best practice procedures and processes to meet / exceed goals and objectives related to customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, efficiency and budget

Develop for the future:

  • Drive continuous improvement

Profile & Competences

  • Graduate /MBO+ level with logistical background; a post-graduate qualification in Warehousing or Logistics would be a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years Warehousing and / or Operations, and a minimum of 2 years people management are required;
  • Solid  understanding of warehousing in terms of set-up, capacity planning and optimization
  • Competent  knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Oracle)
  • Experience of working in the Medical Devices industry would be a plus
  • Experience in working in an ISO13485:2003 or comparable environment , proven experience on working in an environment where compliance with local regulations regarding health and safety, regulatory and hazardous materials, as well as internal policies and procedures is secured
  • Ability to build and coach an effective team and to set and communicate clear goals
  • Structured, tidy and precise
