The Lead Financial Analyst performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules. The Lead Financial Analyst prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. The Lead Financial Analyst provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget. The Lead Financial Analyst also analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports. The Lead Financial Analyst conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

What you will do

  • Calculate all monthly and quarterly Admin Fee payments on timely basis, being sure to audit each payment for potential contract product changes or new products to be captured to ensure Admin Fee payments are as accurate as possible for all contracts.       
  • Maintain a standard audit cycle for all GPO contract administration fees, by group and/or by Stryker division.
  • Involvement in the systematic and scheduled technical review, in association with divisional I.S. and the HCS Business Process Developer, of the actual file protocols and structure within the divisional ERP systems to validate data process for administration fee payments.
  • Serve as the lead accounting person for HCS and, as so, assure appropriate separation of duties from the contracting team(s).
  • Lead the accounting and data response for any/all GPO audits, and serve as a member of the Audit Response Team.
  • Publish quarterly financial impact projections to all divisions in relation to any HCS-initiated transaction that will have a financial impact to the divisions (administration fees, rebate payments).
  • Perform Corporate Solutions program rebate calculation, audit and remittance to customers, including response to regional manager and sales rep requests for updates under the program guidelines.
  • Maintain effective relationships and influence with divisional controllers and finance teams to assure collaborative working teams and support the financial objectives of the divisions.
  • Provide project updates and schedule training for functional teams as necessary
  • Serve as key contact for the Healthcare Systems team on the ERP conversion teams as each MedSurg division goes through the ERP platform change.
  • Generate and submit periodic reports regarding responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years accounting systems experience, medical manufacturing/healthcare environment preferred
  • Experience using J.D. Edwards (general ledger), SAP, Oracle
  • High level accounting knowledge base
  • Experience using Presentation software (PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional project management orientation (scope, definition or result, educating on needs/impact and moving teams to action in mapping and testing environment)
  • Excellent time management
  • Exceptional attention to detail, adaptability to changing requests, and service ethic relating to all internal and external customers
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Exceptional skills in applicable software programs (Excel, Access)
