Your key responsibilities

  • You will be the HR Business Partner for our European Financial Shared Service Center (EFSSC), hosting 35+ nationalities and approximately 130 employees.
  • As an HR Business Partner, we expect you to develop a strong and trustworthy partnership with the business unit managers to provide consistently sound and best practice advice in all aspects of people management. In this role you are a member of the EFSSC Leadership Team.
  • You will be closely partnering with managers to provide advice and support on both the people aspects and the employment law aspects.
  • You will provide confidential coaching support to managers and employees on any issue relating to their employment with the company, including their job role and contract, managerial and team relationships.
  • You will be designing and leading initiatives to build outstanding capabilities in staffing, employee engagement, recruiting and organizational / talent development. 
  • You will manage the succession planning and talent management processes, including staffing reviews, supporting the performance management process and support new employee on-boarding.
  • You will be working with managers on the planning and implementation of organizational changes.
  • You will contribute to promoting the Stryker culture and help drive engagement, by designing and implementing approaches to stimulate this.
  • You will work with HR Business Partners and Center of Excellence (COE) partners to gather employee and marketplace insights, data, and trends, which you will use to drive solutions and actions contributing to organizational health and the achievement of business objectives.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably in HR Management, Psychology, Business Administration or related area
  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience supporting business groups and senior managers, preferably in a Shared Service Center environment
  • Experience in organization design / restructuring, change management, business strategy design / implementation and recruiting
  • Ideally experience in compensation / benefits / employee reward
  • Demonstrated ability in complex employee relations / performance management matters
  • Strong business and analytical ability with a proven ability to build strong relationships and influence across different levels including senior level.
  • Superior communication skills, high-energy and proven organizational skills
  • Results oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a fact-based approach when making recommendations, using the available data
  • Integrity and accountability to build and drive a trustworthy and strong partnership with the business.
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Any other European language is a plus.
