The Finance Manager manages, prepares, administers, and directs the control of the budget. Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information to executive management team. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

This finance manager role will lead the FP&A and Shared Service finance functions for the Instruments division and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 3 individual contributors whose responsibilities span divisional FP&A and shared service financial management processes
  • Instruments Divisional SLT finance support lead
  • Identify and implement best practices within the FP&A and Divisional Accounting functions
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining divisional close calendar and communicating any changes to the Instruments finance community
  • Document quarterly lessons learned and host training sessions with BU finance to improve Corporate Scorecard performance
  • Responsible for review of divisional financial reports generated by the team
  • Drive cost center spend accountability and drive spend improvement
  • Work with the Corporate and Group indirect spend teams to help identify areas of opportunity in spend control
  • Lead for divisional flash, actual, projection, and budget submission process
  • Participate in the monthly projection calls with NIS group

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Power BI experience preferred
  • AS400/PRMS experience preferred
  • SAP ERP experience preferred
  • Cost center management experience preferred
  • FP&A experience preferred
