Job Description: Plan, develop and implement the Area Field Marketing business plan; encompasses the Trauma & Extremities (T&E) and Foot & Ankle (F&A) marketing and sales teams’ strategies for attaining US sales growth objectives. Partner with all Mahwah Marketing/R&D teams and U.S. sales leaders, including Area Vice Presidents and Directors, General Managers, Trauma Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers and sales personnel to drive the Protect, Grow, Convert strategies.

  • Develop and implement the area strategic/business plans for assigned regions in concert with marketing’s national strategic plan.
  • Implement product marketing strategies developed by the T&E/F&A  marketing teams with the Area Directors and T&E/F&A Sales Managers  including new product launches to support local business initiatives and market growth
  • Execute portfolio product marketing strategies to achieve stated revenue, profitability and market share objectives
  • Work with Area Directors and Sales Manager to evaluate local trends in assigned segments or new, but related markets to determine segment penetration opportunities and strategies
  • Establish consistent, local positioning/branding image throughout product lines, promotional materials and events
  • Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) in T&E/F&A and manage relationships from a consulting perspective
  • Manage all field marketing efforts in assigned area, including TEACH Mobile Lab activities
  • Consult with Marketing leaders to identify training needs based on current business performance and desired results
  • Continually evaluate area field marketing plans and programs to ensure focus and direction are delivering results in line with area sales goals and divisional marketing goals
  • Serve as lead product marketing professional within your designated area
  • Provide feedback from the field to the marketing and education teams
  • Participate in marketing and education for all product pre-launch activities
  • Lend educational support to and participate in sales/specialty training
  • Provide field support on all product promotions and field incentive programs
  • Represent division at local, regional and national meetings with customers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of experience in a marketing and/or sales of medical devices
  • Previous product management experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence indirect teams
  • Background in healthcare products or medical devices highly preferred
  • Demonstrated high level of product expertise
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional and team oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to market/sell in a relevant market with progressive years of success
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and methods to develop and deliver strategies and tactics to medical device sales representatives to attain sales growth targets
  • Demonstrated oral and written skills (both in groups and one-on-one interactions)
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to deliver results with multiple and complex projects
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated complex problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
