This professional -- to be based in Tempe, AZ -- will be a critical department resource for Stryker Sustainability Solutions. This professional will process journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and review department sub-ledgers as well as other tasks within the Accounting Department. Essential duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Maintaining records of assets and liabilities in the areas of prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, sales tax, and accrual accounts.
  • Managing the division’s CER process.
  • Participating in division and cross-divisional accounting matters including financial transactions or procedures.
  • Reconciling intercompany balances.
  • Executing ad-hoc reporting on assigned topics; adding accounting insight and acumen.
  • Maintaining and updating documentation including SOX narratives as applicable to remain compliant to regulations.
  • Evaluating federal, state, and property tax information, collaborating with corporate tax and governmental stakeholders and ensuring compliance with established deadlines.
  • Identifying and remediating reconciling items.
  • Preparing quarterly and year-end schedules.


  • B.A. or B.S. in business with an emphasis in accounting or related curriculum.
  • 1-2 years general accounting or related experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with general accounting and financial reporting (including knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley).
  • Experience in JDE/HFM preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve routine accounting issues using independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated communication, customer service and analytical skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
