Job Description: The Sr Graphic Designer is a highly skilled and a talented team player who is driven to demonstrate creative and innovative design solutions. This person has proven ability to lead and complete projects from inception, production and final delivery. He or she must ensure all work is compliant to branding guidelines, legal/regulatory requirements, and in alignment with marketing plan objectives. Projects must be delivered within agreed timelines and budget. 


  • Oversee creative projects from kick-off through to delivery
  • Design and execute graphic concepts to meet product or campaign visions
  • Provide creative direction on digital, print and video projects
  • Design for a wide variety of mediums including email, online banner ads, social media graphics and ads, printed sales collateral, tradeshow properties, campaigns and more
  • Use creativity and artistic ability to create branded and highly differentiated graphic design elements including charts and infographics.
  • Brainstorm and concept development, create, articulate ideas, and gain acceptance of concepts and designs.
  • Use creativity and artistic ability to layout professional looking PowerPoint presentations.
  • Collaborate with larger cross-functional teams across projects and initiatives
  • Must uphold the Stryker branding and related guidelines.
  • Communicates project updates to manager on a weekly basis. 
  • Ability to edit copy as needed.
  • Directs professional photographers on photo shoots including products, models, background staging, etc.
  • Works closely with the digital team to help with website updates and campaign development.
  • Have the ability to be proactive, takes initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Project management of initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring all stages and elements are executed on time and on budget.
  • Proactively learns new software and techniques to maintain an up-to-date working knowledge and best practices for the graphic design field.
  • Must proofread work to ensure accuracy and quality-must have a keen eye for detail.
  • Maintains compliance with approval procedures and documentation.
  • Maintains organization and naming conventions of files.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related specialty required
  • 5+ years experience in graphic design required
  •  Proven ability to concept and design for various forms of media, including but not limited to: print, digital, packaging and presentation graphics – must have a verifiable online portfolio
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects; Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Motion graphics software experience preferred
