The Senior Compliance Manager, CMF -- to be based in Kalamazoo, MI -- will support the Compliance function of Stryker's Craniomaxillofacial (CMF) division and will support and ensure implementation of an effective compliance program. Responsibilities will encompass a broad range of areas related to compliance, including the application of laws and guidance to unique business activities and development/implementation of corporate and divisional policies and procedures.  This team member will support the broader Compliance group as a subject matter expert and inter-divisional project leader in areas such as: transparency, training, communications, health care professional interactions, grants and donations, indirect sales channels, issues/investigations, high risk third party vendors, risk management, auditing and monitoring. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing strong relationships throughout area of responsibility to foster an advisory and collaborative approach to proactive compliance. 
  • Responsible for managing and supporting the implementation of compliance program plans, tasks and initiatives to ensure adoption throughout the organization.
  • Maintains working knowledge of current and emerging laws and regulations, and periodically reviews and updates standards relating to compliance.  These include Stryker Corporate Policies and Procedures, industry trends and guidance on country, state/provincial or local laws.
  • Responds to alleged violation of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct by recommending appropriate investigation procedures in partnership with Legal and Human Resources.
  • Makes recommendations to Compliance Leadership with regard to the development or revision of existing policies, procedures or systems to attain high levels of performance and build competitive advantage.

Education and Special Trainings:

  • Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-13 years' professional experience required.
  • Demonstrates professional demeanor and developing executive presence. 
  • Perceived as highly competent with developing business acumen and good judgment. 
  • Embraces and proactively supports change in a dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to educate and train others. 
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Work is well-planned, communicated and completed with a high level of quality.
