Sales Representative: Patient Transport (Hospital) - South Central

Job Description

If so, we want to hear from you.  At every point of care, from the ambulance to the emergency department to patient discharge, Stryker’s Medical division provides innovative technology, support and service to help simplify health care delivery with safety and efficiency. We’re looking for a talented, highly motivate sales professional who will be responsible for driving Stryker’s ‘Patient Transport’ business across the South Central region.

You will be working as part of a high calibre, performance driven sales team, who’s passion for improving outcomes help make the lives of patients and the people who care for them, better.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing an effective territory sales strategy to maintain existing business, as well as driving growth with new sales opportunities
  • Delivering annual sales targets as well as other key performance objectives
  • Building strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders in the NHS or private medical sector; these include Moving & Handling Advisors, Tissue Viability, Biomedical Engineers, Nursing staff as well as Procurement and Finance professionals
  • Conducting product demonstrations and training for clinical staff
  • Reporting on your sales activities on a regular basis
  • Attending and participating in key professional congresses and events
  • Maintaining and acquiring new product, technology, market knowledge

Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Life-science, Marketing, Business Administration or Biology or another relevant, advanced degree
  • Proven track record of success in sales within the NHS (desired) or in other industries
  • Experience in customer acquisition and proven ability to grow new business
  • Knowledge and experience in a commercial sales background, preferably capital sales
  • Relationship building skills, has to be a natural relationship builder
  • Knowledge of a CRM system
  • Computer skills, MS Office
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Presentation skills with modern presentation media
  • Knoweldge of Manual Handling in the NHS (desirable)
  • Must live within the defined territory, this is a field-based sales role, therefore involves a significant amount of travel
