Job Overview

This position is in the Quality Assurance Department and is responsible for supporting Stryker Canada’s Quality initiatives. 

Responsibilities

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation
  • Responsible to live and drive Stryker’s mission and values: Integrity, Accountability, People, and Performance

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Receive and organize internal documents for our site’s quality management system document control
  • Enter Product Inquiries (PIs) into TrackWise.  Retrieve defective products from the field and return to manufacturers for investigation
  • Follow PI investigations to closure and report investigation findings to product managers/sales reps/HCPs as required
  • Respond in a professional and enthusiastic manner to all internal customer inquiries regarding document control and general administrative issues within the quality assurance department
  • Work with quality assurance personnel at Corporate and all manufacturing sites
  • Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvements within the department
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Conduct & Compliance

  • Abide by and support the policies set forth in the Stryker Code of Conduct
  • Understand that compliance with the Code of Conduct, as it may be amended by Stryker Corporation from time to time, is a condition of continued employment with Stryker
  • Conduct work in compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations and in accordance with Stryker’s high ethical standards
  • Report any violations of these policies and procedures to Stryker management or in the manner outlined in Stryker’s Ethics Hotline Policy

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
  • High standard of integrity and ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Project management and report writing; preferable
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with both internal and external contacts
  • Ability to make and support decisions with regards to quality issues

Education & Qualifications

  • Pursuit of a University Degree or RAQA post-graduate diploma required
  • Prior experience with document control processes in an ISO9001: 2015 framework is an asset
