The Manager, R&D is a management position responsible for the functions of the engineering and development department, ensuring that the most economical and feasible method is utilized for each project.

  • Provide leadership and management for company wide research and development programs and activities.
  • Partner with upstream and downstream marketing and with Business Development to identify targets and efficiencies within the Surgical portfolio
  • You will partner with operations to resource and execute critical initiatives
  • You'll be responsible for continuing to grow and develop talent within the franchise
  • Provide R&D efforts to enhance current products and develop new technologies and products.
  • Accountable to partner with product managers in marketing and with PMO, as well as working with cross functional leaders to grow the franchise
  • The Manager, R&D is responsible for working with the R&D department leader to act as liaison with external parties on matters relating to the procurement of services and materials for the company research and development activities.

What You Need

  • Seven years of experience within engineering or related function
  • Minimum 1 year People Management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Medical Device experience preferred, not required

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: Up to 25%
