Position summary:

Work in close partnership with internal stakeholders to understand business hiring needs and be responsible for attracting and recruiting world class talent for China’s growing business. This is a key role to ensure Talent Acquisition at Stryker becomes a strategic organization that delivers excellence in functional and operational recruitment in support to the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Recruit

  • Work with Talent Acquisition Manager to implement the talent acquisition strategy in Greater China.
  • Define the best candidate attraction and sourcing strategies utilizing sources such as direct sourcing, talent referrals, campus recruitment, etc. to attract and hire top talent.
  • Partner with country HR business partners and business leaders in order to ensure transparent, standardized services that meet the needs of the business.
  • Perform full lifecycle recruiting activities from sourcing to pre-boarding and maintain excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and external sourcing channels to ensure vacancies are filled by qualified candidates (job and Stryker fit) within a suitable time period.
  • Interview/screen candidates and deliver a compelling and consistent message to candidates that aligns with the Stryker brand and values to create a positive candidate experience.
  • Be a subject matter expert in your area of recruitment through knowledge of market data and a strong understanding of Stryker’s business
  • Contribute to external and internal communication channels (WeChat, LinkedIn, newsletter, etc.) to enthusiastically promote Stryker as a great place to work.

Advise & Lead

  • Manage end to end recruitment and be instrumental in executing the global talent acquisition strategy, projects and initiatives tailored to country requirements.
  • As a true collaborative partner, you will own the recruitment process and advise on best practice to ensure we are continuously delivering excellent customer service while always compliant.
  • Anticipate the needs of the business and provide guidance and solutions to meet those needs based on market expertise and data.  
  • Advise and influence hiring managers with insightful market data that shapes recruitment approach and decision making
  • Communicate consistently and proactively to ensure alignment and remove barriers
  • Tactfully drive the hiring process to meet aggressive KPIs
  • Manage data integrity in Workday  and other systems to maintain records on all recruiting related activity.

 Innovate

  • Identify recruitment market trends, tools, technologies and best practices and share this information through the appropriate teams for assessment and adoption
  • Participate in projects, implement best practices, embrace change and help improve the overall talent acquisition function
  • Continuously assess and provide feedback to talent acquisition infrastructure and processes to help adapt to new needs as the organization grows and changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above required
  • At least 8 year relevant working experience in recruitment or human resources (experience at multinational corporate environment preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of the end to end recruiting process and solid understanding of the employment marketplace and trends
  • Proven success in recruiting within a relevant sector for the Chinese market, and ability in assessing, interviewing and recruiting top talent.
  • Fluent Chinese and English, excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and rapidly changing regulatory and business environment.
  • Strong team player and able to work well with, build trust, and influence a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong motivation, ability to work independently using critical thinking
  • Ability to drive initiatives critical to success of TA and the business
