Job´s mission
The Forecast Modeler has responsibility for ensuring that high quality baseline demand forecasts are developed and maintained in Demantra for the organization by leveraging statistical modeling, advanced data analysis and expertise with the best available cross-functional inputs and applying sound judgment based on knowledge of the business. The forecast modeler will collaborate with global demand planning teams and Business Systems Analysts to develop and improve the critical business process and optimize the performance of statistical engine. The Forecast Modeler will provide critical statistical analysis on the forecasts to the global demand planning teams including but not limited to trends, gaps, KPIs, opportunities and risks in the forecast projections to drive the right behavior of demand override and improve the overall demand planning process performance.  The Forecast Modeler is responsible for providing continuous Demantra system training to the global demand planning teams and supporting the creation and maintenance of the training documents internally and externally.

Your key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain high quality baseline short-term and long-term demand forecasts
  • Perform both global and nodal tuning independently and completed re-active and pro-active tuning tasks as requested
  • Perform preliminary tuning set up for new business in Demantra
  • Develop and continuously improve the re-active as well as pro-active tuning process and build strong relationship with global demand planning teams
  • Represent/own the statistical baseline forecasting processes and workflows in any system maintenance (realignments, upgrades, etc.) to ensure uninterrupted quality and service to the business on all statistical baseline forecasting
  • Support enhancement process and support business requirement documents creation, testing script creation, testing and validation.
  • Conduct training and education sessions to the selling divisions as directed and drive the Demantra utilization in the regional demand planning process
  • Provide the advanced metrics review, forecast analysis etc. to global demand planning teams and highlight gaps and risks to drive the correct behavior of demand override and improve the demand planning process performance
  • Create user-friendly “how does it work” Demantra training documentation and its maintenance
  • Achieve or exceed the forecasting goals and KPI targets, supporting corporate/department goals and KPI targets as directed
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and creativity in solving problems and the ability to appropriately communicate and escalate as needed to management

What are we looking for?

  • At least 1-3 years’ working experience in Oracle Value Chain Planning Applications (especially Demantra, DM & AFDM modules)
  • Development Knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL is a must
  • Hands-on experience in statistical modeling and analytical engine tuning, Demantra system health checks
  • Technical functional experience in designing enhancements, testing, implementation and upgrade Projects for Demantra is preferable
  • Knowledge of Oracle architecture, databases and framework with experience in Oracle Demantra is a plus
  • At least 3 years of business experience in Statistics, Supply Chain management, I.T. or related fields, must have in-depth knowledge of business forecasting processes in Supply Chain, Marketing etc.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent, demonstrated quantitative, analytical and organizational skills and working knowledge of applying statistical principles to improve results.  
  • Experience working across teams in a matrix organization to drive results through a global matrix structure.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with demonstrated strength in ensuring other people´s commitment and proven ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability for decision making, to work under time pressure, accuracy, prioritization and capacity to make good judgment in special situations.
  • Fluency in English.
