The Job's Mission

Imorphics is a Stryker company providing leading-edge 3D computer vision in medical technology applications from robotic surgery to clinical trials.  We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated engineer capable of working on technically demanding computer vision projects and having the flexibility and communication skills to operate effectively within a high calibre team.

Imorphics offers a fascinating opportunity for the right candidate.  The modelling techniques which we utilise are at the forefront of what is possible within 3D medical imaging. Our technology allows us to provide detailed anatomical information for surgical procedure design and execution, and to undertake powerful clinical trials

Key Activities & Accountabilities

  • Support design and implement robust algorithms and software components to support statistical modelling and machine learning techniques in segmentation, landmarking, reconstruction of missing anatomy, surgical planning, and disease classification.
  • Use and improve existing processes to build and use statistical models of anatomy. 
  • Proactively solve problems and conduct root cause analysis on these techniques.
  • Support the evaluation and validation of these techniques on large datasets.


  • Highly numerate undergraduate degree.
  • PhD in a highly numerate discipline preferred.


  • Extensive experience in mathematical methods.
  • Deep understanding of programming, preferably in C++.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve in a technically challenging area.
  • Demonstrated drive to deliver high quality results on time and in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence others.
  • Experience of the following is highly desirable
    • Experience of programming GPGPU, either in CUDA or OpenCL.
    • Experience porting scientific software to GPU.
    • Computer Vision and Modern machine learning e.g. deep learning.
    • 3D medical Imaging.
    • Human anatomy and medical technology.
