Accelerate’s Business Process Owner (BPO), Inventory & Product Costing is responsible for all Program deliverables related to inventory accounting and product costing.  The successful candidate will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, validating, specifying, verifying and managing the business needs of the organization’s stakeholders and end users.  The BPO, Inventory & Product Costing will also coordinate testing activities (i.e. Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing) and provide functional guidance to develop training materials, deliver user training and lead and direct Data Quality and Data Conversion for the “sub-process” area, including data mapping and validation activities.  This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the global accounting related platform across Stryker.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the system super user (Owner) ensuring the successful utilization of the system and work effectively with key stakeholders related to inventory and product costing processes
  • Assist with SOX controls related to inventory and product costing
  • Lead solution designs for sub-process areas
  • Plan and oversee testing activities for the sub-process areas
  • Support data readiness, reconciliation and conversion related to inventory
  • Support the development of training materials
  • Support the development of global process maps
  • Create and deliver training to end users
  • Responsible for the timely completion of project activities within their project track
  • Drive adoption of to-be business process to align with ERP capabilities and gain alignment with the business
  • Coordinate involvement of Stryker SME’s in key project activities
  • Works closely with systems integrator and provides “hands-on” input into the configuration of the system
  • Facilitates rapid decisions and the completion of key configuration decisions
  • Own Stryker process deliverables and tasks for sub-process areas
  • Map major business processes to solution, identifying major change impacts, working closely with the systems integrator and IS
  • Lead change management efforts with users
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of enterprise master data

Education & Special Trainings:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field required
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Professional Certification: CPA or CMA preferred

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong command of functional area and end-to-end global business processes
  • Strong foundation in SAP S/4 Hana and various modules
  • Functional knowledge key SAP processes (OTC, PTP, FTS, RTR) and understanding inventory/material/product cost within
  • Data domain expertise for: Material, Finance
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting or SAP consulting role with responsibility for inventory accounting
  • Deep understanding of inventory accounting concepts including standard cost, inventory valuation, elimination of intercompany profit in inventory, inventory adjustments, etc.
  • Expert user of SAP S/4 Hana FI/CO – significant experience with product costing and inventory related areas
  • Prior experience delivering an ERP or major business-system, or leading large-scale transformational projects or programs
  • Ability to think strategically while operating tactically to implement global data standards and global technical/process solutions.
  • Ability to manage and drive business process changes
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with Stryker Divisions around the world
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
