Job Overview

This position is responsible for providing technical repair services that exceed our customer expectations.  This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Service Team while championing Stryker’s Vision, Promise and Mission.

Responsibilities

Individual Responsibilities:
 

  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation

Functional Responsibilities:

            In-house service & technical support:

  • Perform technical inspections and repairs on Medical Devices
  • Perform Quality Control Inspections on equipment after repair
  • Respond to all incoming calls, e-mails and voice mails in a timely and professional manner, providing new and existing product information to customers using knowledge of products, tooling, and documentation
  • Provide support for demo/loaner repairs and help prepare products for evaluations/shows
  • Perform routine functions checks on demo/consignment/loaner equipment
  • Work with territory managers and other technicians to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs when needed whether in-house or onsite
  • Provide clients with technical training when needed whether in-house or onsite
  • Assist local technicians with some repairs, installations and deliveries when needed    
  • Promote Stryker’s business by recognizing opportunities to fulfill additional customer needs and communicating with the appropriate Stryker personnel for follow up
  • Provide post sale in servicing on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Follow all administrative duties in a very accurate and timely manner
  •  Assist in the development of new service procedures
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of Stryker equipment and parts.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

  • Conduct work in compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations and in accordance with Stryker’s high ethical standards
  • Report any violations of these policies and procedures to Stryker management or in the manner outlined in Stryker’s Ethics Hotline Policy

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Bilingual candidates preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform technical repairs
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Strong time management skills, ability to manage multiple functions and adhere to daily deadlines
  • Knowledge of  proper lifting/body mechanic techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Special attention to detail
  • Accuracy is essential for data entry skills
  • Experience with repairing windows based equipment is an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma experience an asset

Education & Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Diploma required, University Degree Preferred
  • Related technical experience in field
  • Background from a Technical School in Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical or relevant work experience
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
