What You Will Do

You will take a lead role in designing, prototyping, and developing image processing systems for endoscopic visualization, incorporating image sensors, light sources, and displays. You will work with a cross-functional engineering team to drive a product from concept to production. You will research new technologies across multiple industries and create prototypes to demonstrate the application of those technologies. You will provide technical leadership in FPGA development and image processing/machine vision.

You will also:

  • Design FPGA systems for visualization:
  • Lead FPGA engineering for a product team.
  • Design high speed video systems using FPGAs.
  • Create and develop product technical specifications.
  • You may create image processing/machine vision algorithms for vision systems including Image Signal Processor (ISP) functions and machine vision/learning algorithms.
  • You may direct or assist in the schematic capture, PCB layout, and PCB manufacturing process. FPGA board bring-up & verification.
  • Research on possible applications for endoscopy by creating proof-of-concept demonstrations and advancing the state of technology by moving proof-of-concept prototypes to realizable products.

What You Need

  • BSEE or BSCE or BSCS or Biomedical degree required – Master’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • Strong technical background in electrical engineering or computer engineering with a specialization in FPGA design, simulation, and verification.
  • FPGA design experience as a leader of a team.
  • Experience with high-speed digital systems.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter, and works well within a team structure.
  • Curiosity across multiple disciplines, willing to and interested in learning new fields, techniques, and sharing ideas.
  • Strong technical expertise in: FPGA design, synthesis, debug, logic/RTL tools, simulation verification.
  • Prefer experience with hardware design and bring-up and a desire to be involved and engaged by participating in multiple extracurricular activities.
