Job Description

As the user interface designer you will be working on concepts and user interfaces for Stryker’s digital product line. Create workflows, 2D and 3D prototypes, and guidelines for user interfaces in order to simplify the user interaction and improve efficiency in products across the entire patient journey – pre-hospital, emergency care, operating room, and rehab. Support user and design research including usability studies, ethnographic field research, user surveys, prototype testing and competitive product analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•        Create interactive UI/UX focused concepts / prototypes in 2D and 3D

•        Collaborate with other designers to build optimal solutions for patient care

•        Collaborate in the definition of user interface design standards for Stryker applications

•        Seek and integrate feedback from peers, project leads, and potential customers

•        Present design solutions to stakeholders, clearly defining rationale for decisions made

* Capably and consistently meet project deadlines

Education

  •  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required

Qualifications and Experience

•        3+ years visual UI experience for products and/or services

•        Strong command of visual design capabilities, including composition, layout, information hierarchy, typography, and color discernment

•        Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio

•        Must be able to effectively communicate design rationale verbally and visually to team members

•        Familiarity with modern design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, etc.)

•        Must be flexible, dependable, and capable of quickly learning new technologies.

•        Ability to draw storyboards to refine concepts a plus

* Experience working in an agile development environment a plus

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 20%
