Position summary:

Responsibility for leading the development and management of business partnerships with the specified business and their leadership teams.  Based out of Ireland, this role will primarily focus on our NV division but also help coordinate all partnerships across the Ireland manufacturing sites.  This role will formulate IS strategy and architecture in alignment with business strategy and objectives. The individual will drive key manufacturing programs and IS services, as well as, innovation and continuous improvement in the application of technology to achieve financial, operational and customer service goals.     

Key responsibilities include:

  • Member of specific business leadership team with responsibility for ensuring this role is the trusted IS partner
  • Drive IS value creation and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate IS and Manufacturing business partnerships for all key plants in Ireland such as Tullagreen, Springhill, Limerick in coordination with the lead IS business partners for the respective divisions
  • Enables NV manufacturing leadership team with responsibility for ensuring this role is their trusted IS partner.
  • Identify opportunities where conflicts/synergies/redundancies exist between business capabilities and systems to improve IS effectiveness
  • Contribute to the budgeting process and lead and recommend CERs for division IS projects
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with business leadership and teams
  • Manage the IS budget and guide the business in effectively investing in Information Technology to meet strategic objectives
  • Lead and guide the business on aligning IS strategy with business strategy.
  • Provide knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and prioritizing initiatives
  • Prepare, define, and monitor IS projects to address business needs
  • Manage alignment of project deliverables with business requirements throughout the project and delivery life cycle
  • Work with IS teams to ensure IS services provided are consistent with business expectations

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Manufacturing or Computer Information Systems preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in Manufacturing/ IT/IS and/or business discipline
  • Extensive knowledge (5+ years) of medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IS requirements
  • Extensive knowledge (5+ years) in Manufacturing including ERP / MES and Shop floor systems with a strong grasp of manufacturing, lean and operations fundamentals
  • Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing systems transformation (SAP Manufacturing, Appriso MES) or equivalent – either in Medical or other industries (5+ years
  • Project management experience, working with internal and external cross-divisional team members, preferably with IS project
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with both divisional leaders and technical team
