What you will do

As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities in your commodities, with the goal of obtaining the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management.   You will be tasked with developing and implementing strategies and projects related to cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base optimization and rationalization, quality improvements, risk assessments, and contract negotiations.  You will create, negotiate, monitor and enforce contract strategies for suppliers and drive implementation of supplier strategy, which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and make versus buy analyses. 

Your ability to build strong, effective partnerships with internal teams and suppliers will enable you to solve problems through a consultative approach, ensure reliability and quality in our products and contribute to continuous product and process improvement in line with producing industry leading product innovations.

What you need

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.  Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or other relevant area of study is preferred.  Master’s Degree also preferred
  • 5 years of experience in supply management or manufacturing operations or related field with focus on strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier development; project management experience and/or PMP certification is a plus
  • Demonstrated efficient work methods and an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment; project management experience desired
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across various levels; must be able to diplomatically persuade others and effectively drive change
  • Strong drive, persistence, results orientation and ability to sustain high energy
  • Medical device or other highly regulated industry experience (e.g.: aerospace, automotive or similar)
