Job Description

Processes orders for materials or merchandise from sales staff or direct customer contact.  Maintains customer files with sales contracts and other information.  Gives price quotations, completes order sheets and checks the price and quantity of each item listed.  Distributes order sheets to respective departments.  May coordinate with departments regarding order status, shipping dates, prices, product availability and back orders.

This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. The job requires a basic understanding of work routines and procedures in own discipline. The technical procedures for this level are well defined. The job works within well-defined procedures that may involve a variety of work routines. This job typically requires a minimum of 2 or more years’ experience.

What you will do:

The Service Associate is an integral part of a team that is responsible for servicing the collection process of single-use devices at hospitals and surgery centers.

Responsibilities and duties:

Collects, packages and ships reprocessable single-use medical devices from assigned accounts.

Effectively answers questions regarding our business to customers and hospital staff.

Implements new collection areas within hospitals and surgery centers.

Works closely with Sales Representative and Associate Sales Rep to determine collection points and schedule.

Updates scheduling system to ensure activity and collections have been logged in the area.

Orders and ensures appropriate levels of supplies in the territory based on collection needs.

Collects information in hospital accounts and shares with the team to help drive growth and new business in existing accounts.

Ensures proper branding is present at collection sites.

Assists sales team in providing timely, adequate solutions for customer issues and communicates customer concerns

Adheres to hospital protocols and company policies and procedures to protect self and others from exposure to safety and health hazards.

Experience/skills required

Computer literate and working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Service-oriented personality with strong customer service skills.

Excellent organizational, time management, listening and analytical skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Thrives in a fast-paced, team environment.

Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds on a daily basis.

Valid and unrestricted driver’s license and appropriate insurance to travel by car as required.

High school degree or GED required.

Use of your personal vehicle (drive 80-100 miles/day depending on territory).

Experience working in a hospital environment preferred, but not required.
